The CII Mining and Construction Equipment Summit 2025, held on 19 May 2025 in New Delhi, brought together key industry stakeholders to discuss the evolving landscape of sustainable mining and construction. The annual summit, hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), served as a vital forum to share insights, foster collaboration, and highlight innovations shaping the future of mining.
This year’s edition focused on building a low-emission, future-ready mining industry, aligning with India’s centenary vision and broader goals for sustainable development. A compelling keynote address by Dr. V. K. Saraswat, Member of NITI Aayog, set the stage by emphasising the importance of energy-efficient infrastructure and clean mobility solutions across heavy industries.
GreenLine Mobility Solutions, India’s only green logistics operator of LNG and electric-powered heavy commercial trucks, was proud to participate in this landmark event. Mr. Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine, joined a high-impact panel discussion on ‘Decarbonising Mining and Construction: Pathways to Progress,’ moderated by Mr. Manav Kohli, Executive Director & CEO of Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd. The panel also featured industry leaders including Saurabh Palsania (Joint President, Shree Cement), Andy Dhanraj (Director – Mining, Caterpillar India), Sauro Jyoti Roy (Director – Mining, SANY), Rishi Raj Kishore (Tata Hitachi).
Representing GreenLine, Mr. Mimani highlighted the critical yet often overlooked emissions from logistics operations in the mining value chain. He shared GreenLine’s mission to decarbonise heavy-duty transport through the deployment of LNG-powered trucks, electric vehicles, and smart fleet management systems.
“Sustainability isn’t just about the equipment used at the mining site. The transportation of materials contributes significantly to overall emissions. At GreenLine, we’re enabling mining companies to reduce their carbon footprint through cleaner fuel solutions and technology-backed logistics,” he stated.
He stressed the need for greater collaboration between miners, equipment manufacturers, and clean mobility innovators to scale sustainable solutions and unlock collective value.
The panel discussion underlined a common message: sustainability in mining is both a responsibility and a business opportunity. Panelists explored actionable pathways such as reducing diesel reliance, embracing electrification, and reusing waste materials in construction. The group also discussed the growing relevance of carbon credits as a financial mechanism to support green investments.
At GreenLine, we remain committed to redefining logistics for a low-carbon future, helping industries meet their ESG objectives, and contributing to India’s sustainable industrial growth.
