Essar Foundation is proud to partner with Little Angels School, Mumbai, a pioneering institution run by the Human Development Trust, dedicated to providing inclusive education and comprehensive care for differently abled learners since June 14, 2002.
Catering to students with learning disabilities including Autism, Fragile X syndrome, Down’s syndrome, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and slow learners, Little Angels School aims to transform the lives of children with special needs by fostering independence, self-sufficiency, and self-reliance. With a current enrollment of 175 students, the school offers tailored academic, functional-academic, and vocational programs designed to meet each learner’s unique requirements.
Beyond academics, Little Angels provides a rich spectrum of extracurricular activities such as Judo, Basketball, Skating, Taekwondo, and Music & Movement Therapy. These initiatives focus on improving motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and channelising hyperactivity, helping children to develop holistically.
Each student is placed in a section that aligns with their learning level, with specialized curriculums and focused goals. The school’s highly trained teachers and professional therapists bring years of experience, nurturing the individual talents of each child. Little Angels adopts a holistic approach, aligning Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Social Quotient (SQ) through diverse interventions, thereby enabling learners to realize their full potential.
In addition to the Mumbai campus, the school operates Little Angels Kingdom in Lonavala since 2005 — a vocational training center focused on daily living skills and independent living for older learners.
Essar Foundation is honoured to partner with Little Angels School by providing essential educational materials and ration support for both the Mumbai school and the Lonavala training center. Dominic D’Souza from Essar Foundation recently visited the school, spending valuable time engaging with the children and witnessing the impact of this meaningful collaboration firsthand.
Through this partnership, Essar Foundation strengthens its commitment to inclusive education and empowering children with special needs to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
