As part of our continued commitment to community health and well-being, Essar Foundation organised a comprehensive medical camp for the children of St. Francis Orphanage, Borivali West, in association with Karuna Hospital.
The initiative focused on early diagnosis and preventive healthcare for children with limited access to regular medical facilities. During the camp, 58 children underwent detailed medical examinations conducted by qualified doctors. The check-ups included ENT, eye, dental and general health assessments, ensuring a holistic evaluation of each child’s health.
The medical camp also provided an opportunity for the children to interact in a warm and reassuring environment, helping ease any anxiety associated with health check-ups. Doctors and volunteers patiently explained procedures, offered guidance on basic hygiene and wellness, and ensured that every child felt comfortable and cared for throughout the process.
Based on the diagnosis and recommendations shared by the doctors, Essar Foundation will extend continued support for the children’s treatment and after-care, reaffirming our belief in sustained care and long-term impact rather than one-time intervention.
At Essar Foundation, we believe that nurturing healthy childhoods is fundamental to building stronger communities. Through initiatives such as this medical camp, we continue to translate our values into meaningful action and make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
