As part of our ongoing commitment to support communities in need, Essar Foundation recently partnered with Jeevan Anand Sanstha, a shelter and care facility for the homeless, destitute, and elderly, located in Palghar District.
A team from the Foundation, Dominic DSouza and Tej Singh Barwa, visited the Sanstha and personally handed over ration kits, food grains, and extended medical assistance to support their noble cause. The visit was part of our mission to fight hunger and disease and to stand beside those who have been left behind by society.
Founded by Mr. Sandip Parab, Jeevan Anand Sanstha offers care and rehabilitation for individuals living in extreme vulnerability, often found in public areas without shelter, food, or access to medical attention. Many arrive in critical condition, suffering from untreated wounds, infections, and deep neglect. With eight centres across Maharashtra and Goa, the Sanstha provides shelter, food, clothing, medical care, and emotional support — all at no cost.
The Ashram is a home for those at the edge of survival — restoring health, dignity, and hope. During the visit, our team witnessed firsthand the compassionate work being carried out and the transformative impact of community support.
This initiative reflects Essar Foundation’s core belief, that every life deserves care, dignity, and a second chance. We are honoured to have contributed to the life-saving work of Jeevan Anand Sanstha and will continue to support initiatives that heal, uplift, and empower.
