Essar Foundation continues its heartfelt commitment to the elderly by supporting Sahyog Vridh Ashram, an old age home located in the Wada-Palghar region. Dedicated to brightening the lives of seniors who have been separated from their families or abandoned, the Foundation’s ongoing involvement brings joy and comfort to the residents.
Sahyog Vridh Ashram provides a safe haven offering shelter, nutritious food, and compassionate care to elderly individuals who are no longer able to live independently. Many residents have faced difficult circumstances — from being deserted by their children to losing spouses or battling chronic illnesses. These challenges often bring physical, emotional, and psychological hardships. Within the Ashram, the elderly find companionship among their peers, a sense of belonging, and the dedicated support of caregivers who assist them with daily needs and enhance their quality of life.
Currently, Sahyog Vridh Ashram is home to 48 men and 32 women, all receiving the care and attention they deserve.
Over the years, Essar Foundation has consistently provided essential support including food rations, water filters to ensure access to clean drinking water, and medical aid. During recent visits, our Foundation team spent meaningful time with the residents, sharing moments of joy and companionship that brought smiles and warmth to the Ashram.
Understanding the Ashram’s ongoing need for regular ration supplies, Essar Foundation remains committed to supporting Sahyog Vridh Ashram whenever possible, reaffirming our dedication to uplifting the lives of the elderly in our communities.
