Through its continued community engagement efforts, EOGEPL supported the Annual Inter-School Sports Meet of Kanksa Block, benefiting more than 100 students from over 65 Primary Schools and Shishu Siksha Kendras (SSKs).
The initiative began with the Malandighi Anchalik (Regional) Schools Sports Meet, where nearly 500 students from 18 Free Primary Schools and 6 SSKs under Malandighi Gram Panchayat enthusiastically participated. From this round, 120 winners were identified, and EOGEPL proudly awarded the first, second and third position holders, enabling them to advance to the next level.
Among these young achievers the first and second position holders then competed at the Kanksa Circle Inter-School Sports Meet, where they showcased their talents alongside students from over 65 Primary Schools and SSKs across various regions of the Kanksa Block. The events included 100m and 200m flat races, relay races, yoga and gymnastics, long jump, high jump, walking races, along with special sporting events for male and female teachers making it a truly inclusive celebration of sportsmanship.

The occasion was further graced by the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including the In-Charge of Malandighi Police Camp, the Inspector of Schools, and respected social workers from Kanksa Block, whose encouragement added to the enthusiasm of the participants.
The sports meet concluded on a high note, with the organising bodies expressing heartfelt appreciation to EOGEPL for its consistent support over the years. This initiative not only gifted children from marginal and financially weaker families a memorable day filled with happiness and excitement but also inspired them to view sports as an essential part of holistic education.
Through initiatives like these, EOGEPL continues to make a meaningful difference, nurturing young talent, promoting healthy lifestyles, and strengthening its bond with the communities it serves.
