EOGEPL organised a 3-day vaccination drive in association with IQ City Hospital, Durgapur, for 400 people including employees and their families recently. With the completion of the drive, 244 employees of EOGEPL, i.e. 85.31 % got their first doze, while 3.14% got their second doze as per government eligibility norms. The remaining 11.54% employees could not be vaccinated immediately due to their other health issues. Thus, 100% of the eligible employees are vaccinated today, except those not physically fit for the jab.
The HSE department with the support of the Medic and the HR department organised the drive successfully. IQ City Hospital is one of the leading and best hospitals of Durgapur. It offered proper and systematic arrangement for vaccination of the employees, while the Logistic department provided pick & drop facility to those who needed it. On all the three days, two slots from 1pm – 2pm and 2pm – 3pm was offered and the employees had the option to choose a slot of their convenience.
Prior to this, during the initial days of launch of vaccine, the Company had also tied-up with Lions Club, Durgapur, where vaccination for people above 45 years were being conducted and the CEO of EOGEPL, Mr. Santosh Chandra took the lead to get vaccinated first early April to encourage the employees and also dispel any fears and vaccination hesitancy in their minds.
It is also encouraging and promoting vaccination among its contractors in several ways including some incentives, so that the third party (indirect) employees also get vaccinated.
EOGEPL vows to continue the war against corona virus in every possible way and ensure a fully vaccinated workforce in its all its operations.
