In line with Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh’s vision of making energy conservation and power saving a way of life, Essar Power Mahan observed ‘The National Energy Conservation Week’ in letter and spirit!
The National Energy Conservation week was kick-started at our Bhandaura site with all Essarites taking the ‘Oath of Energy Conservation’, pledging their wholehearted commitment to the cause. Mr Ajay Sinha, COO – site, emphasised the need to take greater responsibility towards the judicious management of depleting natural resources. Later, Essarites enthusiastically participated in the 3-km mini marathon, called ‘Run for Energy Conservation’, to raise awareness on the dire need for saving the planet. The week also had the ‘Energy Hunt’ competition, which became a platform for Essarites to come out with for some of the best ideas in identifying and correcting process lapses in power systems. Later in the week, everyone got together for the ‘Energy Champions’ debate competition, where many innovative and practical ways of energy management were brainstormed.
The events that spanned the National Energy Week elicited some great ideas, creative energy solutions and steadfast commitment towards conservation. At a time when environment and sustainability are top priority for all nations, Essar Power showed great resolve and enthusiasm to go green!
