Essar House turns ‘Pink’ to mark the International Day of Girl Child

Essar along with its cultural philanthropy arm, Avid Learning in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada in Mumbai celebrated International Day of Girl Child on October 11.

Celebrating the day, Essar illuminated ‘Essar House’ at Mumbai, it’s iconic headquarters opposite Mahalaxmi Racecourse, to Pink. The year 2022 also marks the 10th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl.

In spirit of this year’s theme – ‘Our Time Is Now — Our Rights, Our Future’, the otherwise blue-coloured glass façade of Essar House was turned completely Pink. The 21-story high-rise that defines Mahalaxmi areas skyline, was a sight to behold, supporting the cause of girl child.

Essar has always been a front runner for the cause of equal rights and opportunities for the girl child. Till date, Essar Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Essar, has positively impacted lives of 5000+ young girls across 5 states across the country. The company’s initiatives focus on the areas of health, nutrition, education, medical support and community awareness.
