Essar Foundation makes basic healthcare accessible for remote villages in Odisha

“Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo

Essar Foundation, with support from the district hospital, organised free health camps at villages across Odisha, namely RSC-19, RSC-12, Thatmanguda, Phulpadar, Banguru and Banguru Colony.

The aim for the drive was to provide basic healthcare facilities to villagers who otherwise find it difficult to avail of such services owing to their remote location. A team of doctors, pharmacists and an attendant conducted the camps, which provided services such as primary treatment, and free pathological tests for malaria and blood sugar.

A total of 327 people, consisting of 134 men, 135 women and 58 children, benefitted from the camp.
