Essar Bulk Terminal Ltd, part of Essar Ports, has donated 11,000 RT-PCR testing kits to the New Civil Hospital as part of Essar’s corporate social responsibility initiative to combat the second wave of the pandemic, which has created a havoc across India, especially in rural and semi-urban areas of the country. The initiative will strengthen the city administration’s continuous relief efforts to save its people from the pandemic.
The RT-PCR kits were handed over to the honorable Superintendent of New Civil Hospital Surat, a nodal department which takes care of centralized procurement and distribution of drugs and equipment to government facilities in the district. Separately, the company has also donated two Oxygen Concentrators to the Surat Municipal Corporation.
EBTL has also thanked the medical staff of the hospital – doctors, nurses, paramedics and others who are giving their selfless service towards saving countless lives hit by the pandemic.
