With the coronavirus spreading at a rapid pace, it has become essential to support employees, their families and the society at large in the fight against the virus.
Safety protocols have been initiated at Essar Power’s Mahan (Madhya Pradesh), Paradip (Odisha), Hazira (Gujarat) and Salaya (Gujarat) sites. A detailed sanitation protocol is followed at all the sites, which includes daily temperature checks of all employees visiting the site and daily site sanitation. Employees make use of the face mask, sanitisers and gloves given to them while maintaining social distancing protocols. Hygiene kits consisting of masks, hand sanitisers and soaps have been provided to all the employees and their families at Paradip. Also, to ease the burden of commuting, accommodation has been provided to contract labourers at Paradip and the technicians at Hazira & Salaya.
To ensure the safety of the community, similar kits were also distributed across four villages in Madhya Pradesh – Nagwa, Khairahi, Karsualal & Bandhoura. The said villages have also benefited from the periodic fumigation and sanitation done by Essar for their schools, hospitals, police stations and houses.
Essar Power will continue to stay vigilant, conduct safe operations, deliver essential services, and serve the community at this hour of need.
