Its yet another step in ‘ease of doing business’. All the 12 major ports board will now have the authority to administer, manage and control. This will result in faster and user friendly decisions. Ports will be more professionally run, improvement will come through bringing in latest equipment and technology, leading to faster turnaround, increase in volume and finally the revenue generation. It’s a welcome step in betterment of the port and shipping.
