The Essar Box Cricket Challenger 2023 was recently organised at Essar House, Mumbai, and brought together 29 teams from across the organisation. Under the theme of #BeyondBoundaries, the tournament challenged participants to push themselves beyond their limits and embody the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship. Essarites showed class as they went about bringing the theme of the tournament to life, with every match being a thrilling competition.
Players from opposing teams came together to celebrate each other’s wins, showcasing the camaraderie sports can foster. The final match was a fitting end to an exciting tournament, with both the teams putting up an excellent show. The winning team, took home the Essar Cricket Challenger trophy, as well as other exciting prizes. The Season’s best box cricket team, also took the season’s best box of fruits, of Alphanso mangos! The boxes were sponsored by Pluckk, a digitally integrated brand selling fresh fruits & vegetables. Prizes were also awarded to the best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, and even best team T-shirt design!
