In the male-dominated world of seafaring, Essar Shipping believes in promoting a culture of equal opportunity, setting a platform for all to grow, thrive and succeed. The SheMaker Summit 2020 recently recognised our young woman seafarers Tripti Kulshresta (Fourth Engineer – MV Mahavir) and Nikita Suresh Patil (Third Engineer – MV Kishore) as ‘Rising SheMakers’ for displaying immense drive and initiative to take on and succeed at jobs traditionally executed by men. While Tripti is responsible for machinery maintenance, Nikita is the navigating officer and a licensed member of the deck department. We are proud of our woman seafarers!
