Essar Ports Limited participates in Maritime India Summit 2021

Essar Ports Limited participated in the Maritime India Summit 2021, the flagship initiative of the Minister of State for Ports, Shipping & Waterways (I/C) Government of India.

The event, where Essar Ports was also a Platinum Sponsor, was held in a virtual exhibition format between 02-04 March 2021. Each participating organisation was allotted a virtual booth to display their products & services and to interact with guests. Essar Ports showcased its terminals at Hazira, Salaya, Vizag & Paradip and Haizra Ferry Terminal through photographs, videos and brochures.

Mr Rajiv Agarwal, MD- Essar Ports participated in the CEO’s forum held on the first day, where he praised the organisers for taking the initiative for enabling organisations to participate in such events while ensuring the pandemic protocols.

Mansukha Mandaviya showcased the investment opportunities in the sector (Projects worth USD 82 Billion) and laid a platform for investors and stakeholders. The efforts taken under his able leadership in the growth of the sector is highly commendable.

The nation has embarked on becoming “Atmanirbhar” and Maritime Vision 2030 unveiled in MIS 2021 outlines the blueprint for accelerated growth in the Sector.

The investors have laid proposals to Govt. for which MoUs have been signed and all efforts must be made now to make them reality in the shortest possible time. This will pave way for port led and investment driven development in the Nation.”

Maritime India Summit 2021 was attended by various stakeholders in the maritime sector including senior and eminent policy planners, domestic and international investors, CEOs of Indian and global maritime companies, industry experts, thought leaders, technology providers, bankers and insurers, representatives of major ports and shipping lines from across the world. It showcased the latest technology, products and services as well as help disseminate knowledge about the latest developments in the maritime sector.
