Book Donation Drive for Reading Promotion
An enthusiastic group of Essarites and their families volunteered to conduct a book donation drive at Essar township, Waidhan (Madhya Pradesh). This was done to promote reading at Essar Foundation supported Saraswati Shishu Mandir school. In the three-day drive from 26-28 Nov, 2017 volunteers managed to collect as many as 300 books in Hindi and English. These books were ceremoniously handed over to the school. The authorities expressed their gratitude towards this drive that greatly enriched the school library.
Drive for Warm Clothes & Winter-wear
Organized by Umang, the ladies club of the Essar township in Waidhan (Madhya Pradesh), members took up a special drive to collect warm clothes and woollen winter-wear. A sizeable number of warm clothes were collected and was distributed to the poor families, especially to children in Bilonji, Waidhan. The gesture was small yet significant as temperatures in this part of the region is steadily dipping. Members of Umang plan on continuing their joint voluntary contributions for important causes like this.
