Paradip Iron Ore Terminal

Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip is an all-weather deep – draft terminal at Paradip Port Trust in Odisha. This is an existing terminal which has been mechanised to 16 MTPA capacity for faster export of dry bulk cargo. The terminal can handle vessels up to 105,000 DWT and can export dry bulk cargo, including iron ore pellets, coal, dry bulk and other ores through a mechanized handling system using conveyors and a ship loader.

Paradip Port is one of the 13 designated major ports in India. It is ideally located for the export of iron ore from the iron ore belt in Eastern India. It is therefore the primary export channel for Essar Steel’s 12 MTPA Paradip pellet plant via the fully mechanized conveyor system. The terminal handles 100% of the outward pellet movement from the pellet plant and imports/exports other dry bulk cargo.
