Essar Steel has registered a net profit of Rs. 209.7 million for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2000 as against a Loss of Rs. 3955.6 million for the corresponding period of the previous year. The Total Income for nine months is up by 19% at Rs. 20163.8 million as compared to Rs.16912 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. The EBIDTA has risen by 172% at Rs.5179.1 million compared to Rs.1901.7 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The Company has registered a net profit of Rs.150.8 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2000 as against loss of Rs.1160.5 million of corresponding period of last year. EBIDTA is up by 35% at Rs.1262.3 million compared to Rs.937.1 million in the corresponding period last year.
