Essar Energy receives final approval for Indonesian coal block

The company has received the ‘Pinjam Pakai’ forest approval for its Aries coal mine in Indonesia. Essar Energy acquired a 100% interest in the Aries coal mine in April 2010 for US$118 million. Mr. KVB Reddy, Director, Essar Power, discusses the details of the approval and the company's plans for the coal block.
