In its effort to empower India's rural communities, the Essar Foundation has introduced the Educational Intervention Scheme. The Foundation supports around 75 schools across six states and has identified three crucial aspects of engagement: pre-school education, school improvement program and child-friendly schools and systems. Mr. Deepak Arora, VP, Essar Foundation, speaks about the issues the country's educational system faces and the road that lies ahead.
