The Essar Foundation has identified education as one of its focus areas and undertakes a number of initiatives to promote education in India's rural and semi-rural areas. In Vadinar, Gujarat (India), the Foundation has lent its support to Shala Pravesh Utsav, a state government-sponsored school enrolment drive.
