At Essar, we place great
emphasis on the environment that surrounds each
of our plants. It is a cause we consider to be
one of our highest priorities as also one, that
gives back to nature what we inherit from Mother
Earth.
The Green belts at Vadinar have been created with
the view to improve climate, temperature, wind
speed and humidity as well as aid soil conservations.
Green belts add natural beauty to the landscape
and help control pollution.
Design of Green Belt
The green belt has been designed to control air
pollution. The trees are laid in a way to encourage
air turbulence and mixing within the belt. No
large gaps have been left uncovered. Our greenbelt
comprises of a mix of forest tree species instead
of using a single species.

the availability of width all along the periphery,
the Green belt is being developed 500 meters
width all along the Khambhalia highway (South
of project) and the three other sides |
Self Sustainable Greenbelt : |
| In
order to develop a Self-Sustainable system
for the greenbelt maintenance, orchard species
such as mango, pomegranate, fig, lemon, guava
etc. are also covered under the orchard plantation
scheme. The watering for the orchards is done
through a huge Drip Irrigation network. |
