Location & field data

The block is located in the vicinity of the recent offshore multi-TCF discovery in Daewoo operated blocks A1 & A3. Onland oil shows and gas seeps, 100 meters water depth and a combined area of 12,140 sq. km.

Ownership

Essar has sole rights (100%) over two blocks - L (onland) & A2 (offshore) in Myanmar.

Current status

• About 202 Lkm of 2D seismic available and 681 sq. km of 3D seismic newly acquired in block A2. Also, 805 Lkm of 2D seismic available and 80 sq. km of 3D & 202 Lkm of 2D seismic newly acquired for block L
• Multiple leads & structures identified
• Drilling of exploratory wells in both blocks to commence shortly
