( EPL) and Engineering Projects India (EPIL) have jointly
bagged a Rs. 79.84 crore contract from Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage
Board (GWSSB). Essar Projects senior vice-president M S
Ambegaonkar said the contract, awarded last week, envisages
laying a 48.5 km drinking water pipeline in the Saurashtra
region of the state. The contract on engineering, procurement,
construction and commission (EPC) basis involves fabrication,
supply, external concrete coating, laying and jointing,
including internal cement mortar lining of the bulk water
transmission pipeline from Tankara village to Guaridad
village in Rajkot district. It also envisages construction
of two pumping stations along with the sumps with all civil,
mechanical and instrumentation works, Ambegaonkar added.
