The ASEAN Energy Award is presented by the ASEAN Committee for Energy (ACE), an intergovernmental organization established by 10 countries in the ASEAN region, which is convened annually, to recognize efforts by enterprising ASEAN companies to integrate renewable energy and energy-efficient solutions in their projects.
- Improvement or energy management that was implemented in factory that provided significant savings for the company including improvement in capacities using energy management techniques, approaches and measures that will develop and increase the awareness, capabilities and infrastructure on energy management among ASEAN countries.
- The development may be achieved as a result of small group activities, research and development, decision taken by the top management and measures implemented by the company under the policy of participation of all employees.
- Furthermore, simple and effective development and innovation must be demonstrated through actual application and implementation.
The Indonesian Government, through the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resource, recognized and presented the Achievement award in energy management to PTEI, at the Indonesia EBTKE Conex 2012, Renewable Energy & Energy Conservation Conference, held in Jakarta, on July 17, 2012. John Hardy Tobing, accepted the award on behalf of PTEI. All winners will be felicitated again at the ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting (AMEM) and ASEAN Energy Business Forum to be held in Cambodia, in September this year.
