Essar Steel India (ESTIL) was awarded for 'Excellence in performance 2011-12' by Tata Motors (TML), the largest automobile company in India. This is the second consecutive year that ESTIL has been recognized by TML. The award was received by Ranjan Dhar, Head – National Sales, ESTIL, from BB Parekh, Chief – Strategic Sourcing, TML, during the annual vendor meet organized by Tata Motors at Pune, Maharashtra, on June 4.
ESTIL supplied around 100,000 tons of steel to TML in FY 11-12 with special focus on value-added products. Special automotive grades of steel such as IFHS 350, IFHS 400, IFHS 440, Domex 650 and BH220 have been customized and developed to meet the requirements of key automotive customers like Tata Motors.
